The Adventures of Grandma Duckee

“I had found a kind of serenity, a new maturity… I didn’t feel better or stronger than anyone else but it seemed no longer important whether everyone loved me or not —more important now was for me to love them. Feeling that way turns your whole life around; living becomes the act of giving. —Beverly Sills”
The Greatest Challenge

I’ve taken on many adventures in my life thus far.  I’ve climbed inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, sailed and swam in the Nile, even went paragliding in Spain.  But the greatest challenge yet is maneuvering the toy-filled hallway at night trying to make it to the bathroom.  I’m convinced that stepping on a lego can bring even Olympic champions to their knees. Ouch!

Night time obstacle course

I’m currently exploring ways where I can be more self-sufficient by cutting excess, learning new technical skills, and stopping to observe nature more.  What about you?

Tears of the living flow in our streams while the screams of angels echo in the wind. And yet, it’s the laughter of children that energizes humanity to keep seeking a way to change the direction of tears and calm the wind. - Grandma Duckee
