The Greatest Challenge
I’ve taken on many adventures in my life thus far.  I’ve climbed inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, sailed and swam in the Nile, even went paragliding in Spain.  But the greatest challenge yet is maneuvering the toy-filled hallway at night trying to make it to the bathroom.  I’m convinced that stepping on a lego can bring even Olympic champions to their knees. Ouch!

The Devil Inside
At what point did my teenage daughter turn into Rosemary’s Baby Gone Wild?  I wonder if there’s a particular defiant energy in the ether that’s unleashed only on teens?  And yet, a sense of calm kept me from flying off the handle tonight.  For the first time, I did NOT consider purchasing a taser device to get my message across. Oh, the meditation and yoga is working!...

Onward to the Center
Well, since qualifying for the Empty Nest Syndrome Club is not in the cards for me, I may as well start on my to-do list anyway.  First up, yoga.  I’ve dabbled a little over the years but was never consistent with it.  I still have my Russell Simmons Yoga Live series, so I’ll give it a go again.  I could use some centering on a regular basis.

My god! Will they ever leave????
At one point, they are our precious little angels.  As time passes, they test the fibers that bind our sanity.  Then they become teenagers.  And the countdown begins.  The countdown to how long we must endure these years before being set free from the daily emotional, mental and physical toil these little beings unleash on us. Five more years.  Three more years.  Okay.  It is time for them to fly...
